AET offers a full range of services in providing telemedicine capabilities.  AET was started with the purpose of promoting telemedicine services and to provide technology know-how to establish the means in rural areas to bring medical services from local experts to patients who might not otherwise be able to access the experts. 

Telemedicine services offered by AET for Telemedicine & Telehealth connects patients and health practitioners.  Many hospitals and clinics are equipped with video conferencing systems that allow them to collaborate to provide clinical consults.  Physicians and patients can consult with other physicians or health care professionals who specialize in an area of need. 

In addition to video conferencing equipment, some sites are equipped with medical equipment to enhance the specialist’s ability to examine a patient without being physically present. 

The equipment can include:

·         Electronic Stethoscope

·         Electronic Otoscope

·         Examination Camera

·         Dermascope

·         Bedside monitor

It is also possible to record a test or a scan and transmit that recording to the provider, using cloud technology, thus extending the clinical expertise.
